TNSET Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
- General category: One must have a post-graduate degree from a recognised university with at least 55% marks.
- For reserved category: At least 50% marks in Master’s degree.
- Ph.D. Holders: The Ph.D. degree holders whose Master’s Level examination has been completed by 19
September 1991 are eligible for a relaxation of 5%. - Candidates pursuing their master’s degree in their final post-graduation year can apply.
- Aspirants with foreign degrees/diplomas/certificates awarded by the foreign university can apply for the state teacher eligibility test.
Age limit:
There is no maximum or minimum age limit to apply for any subject in the Tamil Nadu State Eligibility Test 2024.
TNSET Registration fees
The application fee is set according to the category of the candidates:
- For General: General candidates must pay 2500/-
- BC/MBC/DNC: It is only 2000/-
- SC/ST/SC(A)/PwD – (VI, HI, PH): Candidates of these categories will have to pay 800/-
- There is no fee for the third gender.
