SNAP Payment Date 2024; Check August Month Payment Schedule for Each State

The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), known as food stamps, offers monthly financial aid to low-income households in all 50 states, Washington D.C., and U.S. territories. These funds are provided through electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards, which can be used at participating stores.

While SNAP benefits are federally funded, each state manages and distributes them, resulting in different payment schedules.

For example, in California, the distribution date is based on the recipient’s case number, with those ending in 01 receiving benefits earlier in the month than those ending in 99. In Connecticut and Delaware, the allocation is based on the first letter of the recipient’s last name. In contrast, states like Alaska and South Dakota distribute all SNAP payments on a single day.
