According to the government, every beneficiary of the Anna Bhagya scheme who used to get 5 kg of rice per month will now get 10 kg of rice per month. This scheme, also known as the Karnataka Free Rice Distribution Scheme, is a big government effort to help poor people.

How To Apply For Karnataka Anna Bhagya Scheme

If you have a BPL or Anna Antyodaya/PHH Card, you can benefit from this government program. You don’t need to apply to get free rice from this program.

Just show your ration card at the nearest ration store in your area. Put your thumb on the biometric machine to complete the process. After this, the machine will automatically register the names of your family members linked to the card.

The amount of rice you get depends on how many people are in your family. The approved family will receive the rice for free.

Procedure to Check Anna Bhagya Scheme DBT Payment Status

Under the Karnataka Anna Bhagya Scheme 2024, people who are below the poverty line will get 10 kg of rice every month. The government will pay Rs. 34 per kg for this rice. The money will be sent directly to the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.

To check the Anna Bhagya scheme amount, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Karnataka Food Department’s official website at ahara.kar.nic.in.
  2. Click on the “e-Services” tab.
  3. Select the “DBT status” option under “e-Status.”
  4. Choose your district and click on the “Status of DBT” option.
  5. Enter the year and month, the captcha code, and your ration card number, then click “Go.”
  6. The DBT status for the Anna Bhagya scheme will be shown on the screen.
